Our news sources have reported that the company has priced the new Google Glass Enterprise Edition 2 at $999, and the glasses have been designed specifically for enterprise customers. The concept of the Google Glass Enterprise Edition 2 has been kept similar to Microsoft’s HoloLens, and the device also is not meant to target a general audience but is rather fit for businesses.
The new glasses manufactured by the company will run on Android, and it supports “Android Enterprise Mobile Device Management.” The support of Android Enterprise Mobile Device Management will make the management of Glass 2 devices easier for businesses. And since the Glass will support Android, it will become much easier for the companies to integrate their services quicker than ever.
The new Glass device which will be launched today is much similar to the original Enterprise Edition. Talking about the design of the device, it is entirely similar to the original one, but Qualcomm’s Snapdragon XR1 processors now power the glasses. With the new Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors the glasses will now have much more powerful multi-core CPU and will have an integrated AI engine that will not only save power but will also add up in improving performance of the device. Besides this, the device will have advance machine learning capabilities.
Talking about the camera part, the new Glass 2 has a new set of cameras which has improved quality and performance both. The new glasses also come equipped with a USB-C port that supports fast charging. Overall, the device has an increased battery life as compared to the original Enterprise Edition.
